Before starting Prophecy, Akshay worked at Obvious, where he was instrumental in leading projects, setting up processes, and building and training the team.

He has had the privilege to have worked with and be taught by some of the best designers in the world. Now, his mission is to surround himself with such people at Prophecy — to create a top-heavy team of experts.

He cares deeply about design education and mentors start-up founders for the global venture capital firm, Antler, and teaches product design at ownpath.

Siddharth Ahuja

Senior Product Designer

Siddharth is product designer with a computer science background who enjoys working in ambiguous problem spaces. As the second designer at smallcase, he helped grow the design team and scale the product’s user base to 200k+ users.

Before Prophecy, he freelanced with early stage startups and almost became a founder running a series of experiments with LEGO’s venture capital arm to explore market fit for his post-grad thesis project, Yotopia.

A compulsive maker, Siddharth likes to experiment with technology and music, and can be found building his own ideas like moooodify, Figma plugins and AR experiments.

Mahima Chandak

Senior UX Researcher

Mahima enjoys bringing in the human perspective into our work through research. Keen on pushing the boundaries of research, she experiments with new methods and mediums such as games, theatre, and comic-boarding.

Before Prophecy, Mahima lead the team for Simple during her time at Obvious. She advocated and designed for thousands of healthcare workers, leveraging low-tech, behavioural solutions to strengthen public health programs in India and other countries.

During her free time, Mahima teaches research at ownpath and continues to contribute to Simple.

Prophecy was founded in 2021 with the goal as a team of senior-only, highly-entrepreneurial, self-managing members who work as both strategists and doers.

We are deeply passionate about how things are built—the people, methods and practices that make great products possible, and our mission is to help elevate these industry-wide.
